About Me – Rebekah
I’m a mum of four, permanently juggling work, family life and everything in between. Like a lot of people, I care deeply about wellbeing, but I also need things to actually work — and to offer good value for money (I am a Yorkshire lass after all). I don’t have time for gimmicks, miracle claims or expensive products that promise the world and deliver very little. Nor do I want me and my family to be exposed to more toxins than necessary.
Why The Gallipot?
A gallipot is a small earthenware pot traditionally used by apothecaries to store remedies — ointments, salves, tinctures and useful little essentials.
The Gallipot is my modern take on an apothecary — a virtual cupboard where old wisdom meets real life. It’s a place for natural remedies, supplements, rituals and home essentials that have been tried, tested and genuinely used, not just recommended because they’re trending.
A Note on Honesty
I believe in being open, curious and realistic. What works for one person won’t work for everyone, and I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all answers. This isn’t about replacing medical care or making big promises — it’s about sharing what’s helped me and my family, and offering a starting point for others who want gentler, more considered options.
The Dream
This is just the starting point, my dream is to someday grow my own herbs, flowers and even weeds in order to curate a non toxic family friendly line of homemade essential oils. Oils that can then be made into bespoke candles, skincare products and remedies.
